The Automated Guided Vehicle

The Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) is specifically designed for use in hospital applications, mainly for the transport of trolleys (Carts) between stations.









The AGV has a four-wheel configuration with two (2) integrated drive/steering units mounted on front and back, diagonally across from each other, and two (2) fixed, not driven, rotating wheels on both corners. This allows the vehicle to move sideways.





The vehicle is produced completely bi-directional, which gives a maximum flexibility and maneuverability. Because of the sideward moving capability the vehicle is also suitable for limited access areas. Batteries are available in two versions, Gel or Nickel Cadmium.
